Get to know Megaworld’s NEW SALES AND MARKETING HEADS

As Megaworld continues to grow, it expands its portfolio of real estate developments, and caters to an ever-increasing market throughout the country. With new territories, the company has put capable leaders at the helm to ensure that the selling and marketing of our various projects are in good hands.

Inside World recently interviewed the three new heads for sales and marketing—Javier Romeo Abustan, Jennifer Alvaro and Van Panem—to learn about the projects they’re selling and how they’re rising to the challenges of the pandemic.

Let’s get to know them a little more.

Inside WorldWhat project are you currently highlighting, and what makes it unique?
JR Abustan: We are now putting the spotlight on Paragua Coastown. Aside from being the first eco-tourism township of Megaworld, the landscape of our development itself is so distinctive because we have both a beach and a mountain forest. Paragua Coastown boasts the first medical and wellness center with a biophilic design and active adult features and services.

Biophilic design is defined as the incorporation of nature into the built environment. This design feature provides faster recovery rates, reduction in stress, and improvement of overall health and well-being.

Active adult living features and services offer worry-free independent living for those aged 55 and over—low maintenance, right-sized living spaces, convenient amenities, as well as safety-conscious and accessible designs.

Other exciting township components are the nature trails, mangrove and forest reserve parks, thematic playgrounds, splash pads and picnic areas.

IW: How are you rising above the challenges of the pandemic?
JRA: The pandemic has streamlined and transformed the way we conceptualized the township. We took the current situation into consideration. People are really re-evaluating what’s important to them. They want to be close to nature, they want a healthier lifestyle. These needs are where our vision for the project is anchored.

IW: How optimistic are you about the opportunities in the market in 2022?
JRA: We have all been in lockdown and experiencing the monotony of our routine at home. When it’s safe to travel, tourism will definitely make a comeback. We see a stronger demand for lifestyle-oriented and master-planned properties such as Paragua Coastown.

As travel and tourism rebounds, we want people to have the best eco-tourism experience that features a mindfully designed development that offers the best of both worlds—the convenience of city living and the beauty of nature.

Inside World: What projects are you currently highlighting, and what makes them unique?
Jennifer Alvaro: We are handling ready-for-occupancy (RFO) units across Megaworld’s different projects in Cebu, Iloilo and Bacolod. These are One Pacific Residences and Once Manchester Place in Cebu; Lafayette Square, One Madison Place, The Palladium, Saint Honore and Saint Dominique in Iloilo; and Forbes Hill and One Regis in Bacolod. They are all unique in their own way, especially since they reflect the culture and local color of their specific locations. They bring out the best of each destination. The fact that each property is located in a Megaworld township is a big draw for prospective clients.

IW: How are you rising above the challenges of the pandemic?
JA: The primary challenge right now is still mobility, especially with the constantly changing lockdown policies. Together with my team, we have become more innovative and agile in bringing the properties closer to our client base and prospective buyers.

IW: How optimistic are you about the opportunities in the market in 2022?
JA: Real estate remains to be the preferred investment among Filipinos. And truly, the pandemic has established real estate as one of the most secure investments one can make today, especially with RFO properties. Even as we emerge from the pandemic, Filipinos will enjoy a newfound appreciation for the return value that their real estate investment will bring.

Inside World: What projects are you currently highlighting, and what makes them unique?
Van Panem:  We are now marketing The Albany, Uptown Parksuites, Uptown Ritz, The Florence and Holland Park. All the premier RFO projects of Megaworld have their own unique world-class character. What makes them even more exciting to the market is that we have options for flexible payment terms and an easy move-in process that gives homeowners the opportunity to enjoy a Megaworld lifestyle right away.

IW: How are you rising above the challenges of the pandemic?
VP: With the current pandemic, it is really challenging to establish a new marketing group. There are numerous options in the market. In addition, the main competitor of RFO projects is the secondary market with the lowest pricing. We are rising above these challenges by adapting to the new reality. We have definitely harnessed the power of digital marketing.

IW: How optimistic are you about the opportunities in the market in 2022?
VP: A new year signifies new hope for everyone. Restrictions are gradually easing up and the economy is slowly bouncing back. We at Megaworld RFO Premier are equipped with our learnings on how to cope with crises, and how to embrace the changes in the real estate sector and the industry of sales. We believe that the demand for properties in complete townships like those offered by Megaworld will be a priority requirement for savvy buyers.
